Redevelopment and conversion of a huge building complex, previously an old monastery.
The previous use of the complex has left behind some interesting traces, such as the Chiesa del Sacro Cuore (Church of the Sacred Heart), and some lovely examples of rooms with arched and cross-vaulted ceilings, in addition to an interesting legacy of historical events.
The complex is composed of 7 adjacent and interconnecting buildings, now the subject of a total redevelopment project to bring them up to the highest modern standards of energy efficiency and practical use. The location is very central to the village of Pallanza, with a delightful view of the Gulf of Borromeo, and also only about 50 metres from the waterfront, allowing guests to moor their boats very easily, either at the new public jetties or at the nearby boatyard.
Thanks to the extensive nature of the site, Dolce Lago Resort will be able to accommodate a wide range of different activities, and so will represent a type of multifaceted property development totally new in the local context but highly successful at international level.
In particular, the complex will include residential space, accommodation, and wellbeing and health facilities, allowing for individual autonomy but also providing clients and operators with connectivity between the various activities.
