A residential villa, with large French windows on three sides open onto a private garden, all on one level to provide very liveable outside space with a lovely swimming pool.
The villa has a Class A energy rating, and is due to be fitted with 20 cm of heat insulation and two sources of solar energy production. The solar panels with vacuum-sealed tubes ensure the availability of hot water even during the winter months, and the photovoltaic panels produce 1.5 Kw of electricity: production which could be further increased to cover all consumption and transform the villa into a “Zero Energy Building”.
Great attention has been taken in planning individual features. For example, the design of the kitchen area was inspired by a stone-built mountain hut with exposed roof, allowing the sink to be scenically positioned under a skylight.
Our clients have shown us the importance of care over details, including ease of interaction between the living areas and the covered outside space, well protected from the wind and sun.
